Everything first has its own charm. And the first home, be it on rent or your purchase is a very-very big thing. We all grow up with an image of the perfect home design. From the number of rooms to the color of your sofa and a happening home theatre system, we have all the stuff sorted in our brains. But things are a cake wall when you actually start designing your home.
First and foremost budget is a big bummer, then how to source the furniture, upholstery, and accessories of your choice for every corner of every room. It is a lot of pain and takes a lot of time. This is where interior designers like us come into play. We don’t want you to go crazy over designing your home when we can do the job for you just as you want it. We’ll be more than happy for doing making home design plans for your first place, and you would have to call or write to us for that. Also, we bring some ideas on this virtual platform that might help you design your space.
1. Light it right
Lighting can make your home design either yay or nay. The right lighting can take the look of any space to another level. Play with lights and lamps. You can have an elegant standing lamp in one of the corners of the drawing room while you can have some cute looking floral or artistic lamps in the bedroom. Kitchen lighting is also essential which most rookies ignore.
2. A chic bar
Who would not want to flaunt an uber cool bar to friends over the weekend? You can go with the conventional bar cabinet or wall bar setup. And if you’re going to experiment and your home has ample of space the go and buy a bar cart with some contemporary barware and other accessories like ice bucket and shakers. The best thing about a bar cart is that you can drag it over to any room instead of restricting your bar to just a single room.
3. Budget tricks for home design
Plants are the most budget-friendly interior decor accessory that you can bring home. Plants give a homely feel to any room. We also believe that plants inculcate a sense of responsibility after all their life depends solely on you. So you better provide them with water and sunlight. Needless to mention all the good things plants do to your home environment. You can keep a pathos, Monstera, succulent or lily. (See reference picture)
4. Books for a better look As they say books for a better world and we would add for a better look also. Invest in a solid wood elegant book stand. You can use it as a partition in your living room or a corner stand in the drawing room. Arrange your book collection from personal favourites to college textbooks in a creative way of alternate horizontal and vertical instead of just merely stacking them up. This would accentuate your home design and make it appear cool and comfy.
