Slaying the coffee table interior decor

When it’s only Monday, and you already are feeling like it’s Friday, then you know you are in trouble. And the one thing that keeps you going through the week is our very own COFFEE. Wonder what our generation of running high on work and life millennials would do if there had been no coffee. We can survive without water but coffee. A heavenly cup of coffee is all that needed to make the day. So how about having this cup in a perfect setting with a perfectly curated coffee table? An ideal interior décor setting very simple to get the ambience of an ideal corner right. Just follow some basic guideline, and you are all set.

Mind the height

The basic rule for designing any table is the height of objects placed on the table should not cause any hindrance in the sight of anyone sitting across the table. So your interior décor item should be well thought of about the height before buying. Something tall might look good on the table, but it is not a very convenient option for a regular basis as obstruction across the table causes blockage in the whole room, and it becomes irritating at times.

Balancing is the key

We are a generation of extremes, but when it comes to interior décor, a perfect balance of all the elements appeals to the eye. So the simplest way to achieve this is by keeping the symmetry of objects.  Place a central object and build symmetry and proportion with the object of smaller but similar size around it. You can experiment with colours but going for poles apart colours may not work well every time. So, go for similar tones and volume of objects.

Blending the elements

When it comes to mix and match on the coffee table, you can create and a masterpiece, or it can be a major fail if the elements don’t sync in well. Combining elements gives a unique look. You can go for a vintage and contemporary mix. Indie and boho look paired along with the modern day classics to provide it with a contrasting feel. Keep trying different permutation and combinations with elements of interior décor till you create a perfect look for your coffee table.

Tray it up

When in doubt use a tray! Place a wooden tray with a dark rich look. Place a small flower pot (Preferably original like a succulent or lilies). If you want you can add a small candle glass lamp along with it. A pen stand would give it a contemporary look. And enjoy your coffee day or night, while you are reading or writing. Just keep in mind not to stuff the tray with a lot of stuff.
